As DBI Consulting’s Practice Director, Scott Hayman’s primary focus is to deliver solutions successfully for clients regardless of the technology required. He accomplishes this on a daily basis by listening actively, building strong teams, working with clients to clearly define success, and leading by example.

Scott stepped into his position at DBI armed with 26 years of engineering and computing experience, covering areas such as fluid flow and structural modeling, database performance tuning, custom training, software development, agile methods, enterprise architecture and business intelligence. He has industry experience in manufacturing, chemicals, medical devices, machining, financial services, government, education, mortgages, and market research. Scott has served as Senior Vice President of customer-facing applications for a large market research company and has held a number of leadership positions in consulting companies.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester. Outside of the office, Scott enjoys the outdoors—especially bicycling and duck hunting. He also likes to travel and is interested in data visualization. Scott has one son, Conrad, who is a student at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
